Always the most inspiring for myself are childrens books, uninhibited beautiful illustration and artwork not muddled by logos. I ran across these illustrators reading scores of library books to Henry, our 3 year old son.

Amazing illustrations by Asaf Hanuka on a well designed site. I like his clean style and brilliantly funny subject manner.

Funny. Still laughing hours later. Coby Shultz strikes again with another brilliant t-shirt design for Ames Bros.

Truly American illustrations by Adam Hanyes. Funny wtih brilliant concepts and an amazingly simple style. His portfolio on Behance is worth the time, the details in the painting are so well placed.

So funny. So brilliant. Glennz site is worth the time and the calendar builder is great.
Its also worth browsing the concept section on his Behance profile. via abuzeedo

Bootleg recently completed illustrations for this animated short, Green With Envy. Illustration by Hiller Higman, font by Ray Larabie.

Just funny. Nothing more.

I don't own an iPhone. I'm not that hip. If I could own one I probably would but out here in the sticks of MT it is not an available service yet. At any rate, I have been avoiding publishing back to the this blog (abduzeedo) partially because of the plethora of slick photoshoppy iPhone screen saver tutorials but after this interview about the legendary star wars poster illustrator I couldn't resist any more. It's very inspirational for any aspiring illustrator.

A project started by the founder of the Little Chimp Society. It displays works by artists from around the world sent in by mail. This is another entry included in our GD Books section of the blog, an additional site dedicated exclusively to the review of design books.

These are so simple, funny and brilliant. While researching graphic novels I came across this group of images from francophone comic creator Obomsawin for the animated film Here & There. A description of one of Obosawins books on amazon reads "In a minimalist style like (but even simpler than)".
